The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering shall strive to be a globally known department, committed for its Academic excellence, Professionalism and Societal expectations. The Department aims to impart state of the art technical knowledge, practical skills, leadership qualities, team spirit, ethical values and entrepreneurial skill to make all the students capable of taking up any task relevant to the area of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is to,

  1. Prepare the students to have a very good fundamental knowledge to meet the present and future needs of industries.
  2. Improve the technical knowledge of the students in tune with the current requirements through collaboration with industries and research organization.
  3. Make the students gain enough knowledge in various aspects of system integration.
  4. Motivate the students to take up jobs in National Laboratories and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering industries of our country.
  5. Take up inter and multidisciplinary research, sponsored and consultancy projects with industries and research establishments.
  6. Encourage the faculty members and students to do research and to update with the latest developments in the area of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Program Outcomes
  1. Graduates will have an appropriate mastery of the knowledge in Electronics, Computer Technology, Data communication, Instrumentation and control systems.
  2. Graduates will be able to apply mathematics as the tool and the concepts from Instrumentation for problem formulation and solutions.
  3. Graduates will be competent in computer applications and be able to develop application programs for modeling, simulation, Instrumentation and control of engineering systems.
  4. Graduates will be able to solve open-ended technical problems and be proficient in the analysis, design, test, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems utilizing appropriate software and hardware tools and devices.
  5. Graduates will be able to effectively communicate technical information and details verbally and in writing.
Program Educational Objectives The Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) program focuses on the application of Electronics and computer technology to Instrumentation, Industrial automation, and process control systems. EIE program prepares graduates who.
  1. To provide a sound knowledge base and skill sets to develop and expand professional careers in fields related to measurement and instrumentation technologies, process modeling and simulation, computer-based control systems, and industrial processes automation;
  2. To prepare Well-rounded individuals with strong Interpersonal skills, competent in communication and presentation, able to work in team environments, and possess a strong sense of professionalism.
  3. To promote an aptitude for engineering applications and are immediately productive in the workplace after graduation and are committed to professional development and lifelong learning.
