IQAC - INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

ABOUT IQAC

A vital part of contemporary educational institutions, especially those in higher education, is the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), that demonstrates a dedication to ongoing quality maintenance and improvement. With the responsibility of promoting a culture of excellence, facilitating systematic improvement, and guaranteeing adherence to quality standards, IQAC is a key player in determining the direction of education. We examine the fundamentals of IQAC in this essay, as well as its applications, importance, difficulties, and potential.

Fundamentally, IQAC is a tactical tool for formalizing quality control procedures and promoting an integrated strategy that includes all facets of administrative and academic work. Functioning as a central hub, it coordinates several quality-associated endeavours, assesses their effectiveness, and directs the establishment towards its quality goals. IQAC aims to maintain institutional integrity, relevance, and efficacy through careful planning, execution, and assessment.

The creation and distribution of quality policies and guidelines is one of IQAC’s primary responsibilities. IQAC offers an outline for coordinating institutional operations with broad quality goals by clearly defining quality objectives and methods. By adopting a proactive approach, quality considerations are integrated into every decision and action, ranging from curriculum design to administrative processes. This approach helps to cultivate a culture of excellence.

IQAC’s primary responsibility is to build strong internal audit and review processes. IQAC leverages institutional strengths, benchmarks against best practices, and finds opportunities for development through periodic assessments. This self-examination activity fosters a culture of self-reflection and continual improvement among stakeholders in addition to improving operational efficiency.

Stakeholder engagement is another essential component of IQAC’s work. IQAC obtains vital insights into the expectations, views, and satisfaction levels of various stakeholders, including employers, faculty, students, and others, by requesting feedback from them. By encouraging a sense of accountability, ownership, and partnership, this participatory method strengthens the legitimacy and relevance of the institution.

Besides engaging stakeholders, IQAC leads workshops and faculty development programs (FDPs) that improve teaching abilities, encourage curiosity, and stimulate creativity. A thriving teaching-learning ecosystem that supports academic performance and student success is ensured by IQAC through the development of a cadre of qualified and driven educators.

In addition, IQAC is essential in making sure that curricula reflect changing industrial trends, societal demands, and technology breakthroughs. IQAC makes sure that graduates have the pertinent information, skills, and competencies needed to navigate the complexity of today’s world by methodically reviewing and revising the curriculum.

Monitoring and documentation are two other essential components of IQAC’s duty. Through the collection, examination, and recording of quality-related endeavours and accomplishments, IQAC promotes openness, responsibility, and evidence-based decision-making. This information repository helps with external accreditation and assessment procedures in addition to acting as a resource for internal stakeholders.

In spite of all of its achievements, IQAC still has a ways to go before it can improve quality. These include the lack of resources, the unwillingness to adapt, and the requirement for constant dedication from all parties involved. Furthermore, in order to take advantage of new opportunities and challenges, the dynamic nature of the educational landscape demands constant innovation and adaptation.

Moving in advance, IQAC’s ability to develop into a dynamic, adaptable, and forward-thinking organization will determine its fate. IQAC’s approach is set to change as a result of embracing technology, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and utilizing data analytics. Furthermore, maintaining an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable culture will be essential to IQAC’s continued efficacy and relevance.

In summary, the IQAC represents a strong dedication to institutional excellence, quality enhancement, and ongoing progress in higher education. As a catalyst for revolutionary change, IQAC pushes educational institutions to new heights of impact and success by promoting systematic processes, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building.

TITLE : STUDENTS DONATION TOWARDS GOD’S OWN KIDS:

Students are having several learning experiences in their life both in college and beyond. But this particular visit every year to the ashram left a perpetual effect on the students and has shaped their character. Basic research on a few ashrams were done by the faculty and shortlisted few, which are not established and actually need help and attention. One such ashram found is Ramamoorthy Rehabilitation Trust in Ramapuram, Chennai.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PRACTICE :

PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED AND RESOURCES REQUIRED

Initially it was a difficult task to find an ashram with genuine requirements where the kids actually get benefited and finally found this ashram with genuine requirements. As there were many students willing to visit ashrams, it was challenging to shortlist a few students alone to visit the kids due to space constraints in the ashram. So we generally take students in small batches during visits.
