About the Department

The EEE Department offers a four years U.G programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering established in the year 2001 and a two-year P.G programme in Power Electronics and Drives established in the year 2010.

The department has qualified and dedicated faculties who are well versed in their own streams. Our staffs are indulged in various research activities in different fields. They are highly experienced and focused to excel in academics and other activities.

The laboratories have adequate facilities that are upgraded from time to time and provide opportunities to learn and innovate. The PG Lab is equipped with Special Machines like BLDC, SRM, PMSM and DSP & FPGA. The department is well equipped with established laboratories.

The department is focused in promoting R&D activities through industry institute interaction by means of conducting Workshops, In Plant Training, Industrial Visits and Guest Lectures by eminent people from Academics and Industry.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PEO1: Find employment in Core Electrical and Electronics Engineering and service sectors.

PEO2: Get elevated to technical lead position and lead the organization competitively

PEO3: Enter into higher studies leading to post-graduate and research degrees, Become consultant and provide solutions to the practical problems of core organization.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

PSO1: Foundation of Electrical Engineering Ability to understand the principles and working of electrical components, circuits, systems and control that are forming a part of power generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, conservation and energy saving. Students can assess the power management, auditing, crisis and energy saving aspects.

PSO2: Foundation of Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply mathematical methodologies to solve problems related with electrical engineering using appropriate engineering tools and algorithms.

PSO3: Computing and Research Ability: Ability to use knowledge in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution which leads to new ideas and innovations

PEO2: To analyze, design and develop the power electronic converter/drive systems.

PEO3: To develop the ability to analyze the dynamics in power electronic converters/drives systems and design various controllers to meet the performance criteria.

PEO4: To design power electronic systems and special electrical machines for efficient extraction and utilization of various renewable energy sources.

PEO5: To promote student awareness for the lifelong learning and to introduce them to professional ethics.

PO1:An ability to independently carry out research/investigation and development work to solve practical problems.

PO2:An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
