About the Department

Meenakshi College of Engineering affiliated to Anna University & AICTE was established in the year 2001-2002 by the Meenakshi Ammal Trust, Chennai. The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme was started in the year 2007 with an intake of 60 students. The department offers a two years programme approved by AICTE, Government of India. The department is committed to upholding a high standard of excellence through quality, technology, and innovation in the period of technological revolution. The MCA programme aims to train students for advanced positions in the rapidly increasing field of computer applications. The department is equipped with highly qualified, dynamic faculty members with state of the art laboratories. Periodical seminars, guest lectures, workshops are conducted to enable the students to get exposed to the cutting edge technology, and to face the competitive IT world. High end technologies along with human values are inculcated to produce ideal software professionals and a responsible citizen. A National Level Technical Symposium named “Mavericks” is being organized every year by our Students.
