Civil Engineering Department was established in the year 2012 with undergraduate programme with the intake of 60. The department is equipped with highly qualified, committed faculty members, supporting staff, adequate infrastructure, classrooms, laboratories, equipments, number of books and journals. The Department has well established state-of-the-art, Material Testing, Highway Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Surveying and leveling, Water and wastewater analysis, and Hydraulic Laboratories. Students of the department are being exposed to the latest advancements in design & construction technologies with sufficient field exposures. Also our students are encouraged to participate in Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to inculcate leadership qualities in them.
Consistently, our students are obtaining very good academic results in Anna University Examinations from the beginning. 80% of our passed out students are in Core Industries like Diagonal Cadd, Javi Infratech, SS Group of Companies as Quantity Surveyor and Site Engineer. Our alumin’s are across the world for their higher studies in the University of East London and as Site Supervisor, Quantity Surveyor, Design Engineer, etc in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore. Some of our students are studying PG in IIT Palakad, Anna University etc. Some of the students run their own civil business related to Interior Design, Client Site supervising, etc.
The CIVIL Association has taken a leading role in planning conferences, seminars, student-level symposiums, technical talks, and guest lectures. Students participate in conferences, technical quizzes, paper presentations and poster presentations in National and International level.
Faculties
The faculty members at our establishment endeavor to impart knowledge to students by means of distinguished and essential methods. Through interesting teaching methods, the highly qualified and renowned mentors impart knowledge of a variety of specializations to students. Faculties are from various disciplines Construction Management, Structural Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Modern equipment, excellent facilities and well-established laboratories are features of the department.
Students
The department is leading the way in promoting student organization and participation in national symposiums, national and international conferences, workshops, seminars with guest lecturers and other events. IEEE publishes several periodicals and magazines, the bulk of which are available at our central library. Our institution also offers online access to the publications.
