Project Description
The Department of Management Studies is established under Meenakshi College of Engineering,affiliated to Anna University. The Department has full strength of faculty members and has intake strength of 120 students per batch. Our motto is to “Enlighten the knowledge of students”. Our vision is to foster excellence in management, innovation and entrepreneurship for business, government and society. Located in India’s high technology city Chennai, we are in close proximity to some of the leading corporate houses in the country, ranging from information technology to consumer product companies, giving us the added advantage of integrating classroom knowledge with practical experience. Our degree granting programmes comprise the Master of Business Administration –Two-year fulltime, with specialization in the area of Human Resource, Operations, Marketing and Finance.
We have taken several steps to meet the vision set for department. These include expanding our
activities in the field of entrepreneurship, in both research and mentoring, scaling up in terms of
student intake, deepening our engagement with the alumni.
We have good placement record and our students are placed in reputed companies and we have
good infrastructure with well equipped lab facilities and library facility.

POOPESH KUMAR is a normal guy from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, who loves to explore and read books whenever he felt low. And he always had his mother to guide him in his tough times, who is also a great inspiration to him. He developed a deep love for nature and art. During his college times, he was drawn toward filmmaking photography.
He pursued Mechanical engineering from 2013-2017 and a master’s In Business administration from 2019-2021 at Meenakshi College of Engineering, his life at college and support from his friends and teachers helped him to make films, and the freedom and love he got from MCE in his UG and PG made him take part in creating new write-ups and he has directed two award winning short films screened in various colleges, which also got featured and nominated in various platforms like Shorted, Miniflix etc. He is an ardent fan boy of Dragon ball, a lover of music and writing and that influenced him to create and publish his own book.
His first book is titled CADEAU OF LOVE AND HOPE which fetched him an award for Top 30 Books to look out for in 2022 in the Non-Fiction Category at the Networking Meet Q2 Literary Awards by Ukiyoto Publishing at Kolkata. Being a young author among the crowd, receiving an award for his first book made it so special for him.
